Fiesta 2018 – HemisFair ’68 Metal Collection

For those of us who live here in San Antonio (myself included) Fiesta SA is one of if not the largest event of the year. Many people whom live outside of San Antonio ask: “What is Fiesta SA?” For me it is a two week long city celebration of just about everything: Life, Food, History, Culture, Community, etc… One of the key staples of Fiesta are the collectible metals; created by hundreds of local businesses, organizations, non-profits, etc… each year. Some metals are made and sold to raise funds or awareness for a particular cause or organization, while others are made and given away for promotional purposes. Although all metals have the year of printing incorporated, no two designs are the same.

Being that 2018 is the 50th anniversary of the San Antonio World’s Fair I thought it would be fun to create a 2018 Fiesta SA Metal collection themed around HemisFair ’68. Below are the related metals I was able to collect and have them sorted based on their relevance to HemisFair ’68.
