As part of the 50th anniversary of the 1968 World’s Fair, the ITC created a temporary exhibit focusing on the history of the building which was built as the State of Texas Pavilion for the Fair. The exhibit opened on the 50th anniversary of HemisFair’s opening day April 6, 2018 and ran for one full year thru April 6, 2019.
As well as celebrating the builting’s role as the State of Texas pavilion for the Fair, the exhibit also tells the diverse history of the pavilion’s post Fair role as a place to collect, preserve, share and celebrate the many ethnic cultures of the region.
Below are images I took of the exhibit.
