Architect: Robert Stevens – San Antonio, TX
Exhibit Designer: Mr. & Mrs. Fritz Toepperwein – San Antonio, TX
“Designed and built especially for HemisFair ’68, this unique project is a carefully researched and highly realistic look into the exciting past of Texas” (HemisFair Guidebook, 1968)
Located near the water ski lake, the Lone Star Brewing Company pavilion was designed with a roof garden on the second floor which offered visitors views of the ski show. The first floor featured a 127’ long bar which served a variety of beverages including Lone Star beer, as well as an exhibit chronicling the history of Texas in 15 life-like scenes.
One interesting design feature of the pavilion five pointed star shape of the second floor of the central lobby.
