“Both live entertainment and film productions are featured. And they range from a film series covering the best television commercials for a single year and travel films sponsored by foreign embassies” (HemisFair Guidebook, 1968).
The theater was located along the southern edge of the fairgrounds in the foreign nation area.

Just as the United States was one year earlier during EXPO ’67 to be the next nation to host a World’s Fair, during HemisFair ’68 the nation of Japan held the exciting honor of hosting the next official World’s Fair type event EXPO ’70 in Osaka, Japan. For this reason Japan showed films on two seperate occasions.
The first event was held July 18th thru the 22nd where three films shown.
The second occasion took place on the last weekend of HemisFair ’68 – October 5th & 6th. During these two days a three part film series was shown showcasing the best of Japan and more importantly the upcoming EXPO ’70 in Osaka.
