Tower of the Americas

Built as the theme structure for HemisFair ’68, the Tower of the Americas (TOTA) provided visitors a bird’s eye view not only of the fairgrounds but of the grand south Texas landscape as well. Designed by renowned architectural firm Ford, Powel & Carson, the tower stands 750 feet high and features a revolving restaurant, lounge and an observation level in the top house.
